ANDOVER — Goldie P. Lipinsky, age 89, of Andover, Ohio, died on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1923, in Welch, W.Va., a daughter of Teresa (Vargo) and Steve Kume. On Nov. 30, 1940, she married Eugene Frank Lipinsky.
Mrs. Lipinsky was a cashier for Golden Dawn Grocery Store for twenty-five years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. Mrs. Lipinsky enjoyed taking pictures, listening to a variety of music, flower gardening and she loved her dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-three years, Eugene Lipinsky; a son, Eugene Lipinsky; three sisters, Margaret Violet Urhin, Ethel Lewis and Katherine Daniels; and three brothers, Steve, Joseph and John Kume.
Survivors include a son, Joseph P. Lipinsky and Kathy McPherson of Richmond, Ohio; a sister, Julia Yokes of Andover, Ohio; and four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10th, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, Ohio, with the Rev. Matthew Albright presiding. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held TODAY, Tuesday, April 9th, from 6 until 8 p.m. at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
