WESTLAKE — Funeral Services for Matthew J. “Chip” Tiitto, age 39, of Painesville Township, Ohio, will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19th, at SPEAR-MULQUEENY FUNERAL HOME, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Burial will be held at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor, Ohio.

Born Feb. 24, 1974, in Lorain Ohio, Chip passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at St. John Medical Center in Westlake Ohio.

A Veteran, Chip was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War. He was an over-the-road truck driver for Seward Trucking in Lincoln, Neb.

He loved dogs and was a caring person who would always be willing to help others. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and was an avid Mopar enthusiast. 

Survivors include six brothers, Bert Tiitto, Robert (Teresa) Tiitto, Kevin (Louella) Tiitto, Richard Tiitto, Al (Lawanna) Tiitto and William (Skip) Tiitto; three sisters, Liz (Dana) Williams, Marie (Mike) Swartz and Patty (Mark) Wiitanen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Janet (Viall) Tiitto.

Calling Hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18th, at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family.
