KINGSVILLE — Bette R. Fobes, age 90, of Kingsville Township, died on Sunday evening, Dec. 16, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 7, 1922, in Conneaut, Ohio, she was the daughter of George and Nell (Chapman) Hayes.
Mrs. Fobes retired in 1986 from Kingsville Elementary School as a teacher’s aide with 19 years service.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the First Baptist Church of Kingsville.
Survivors include her sons, Jon P. Fobes of Lorain, Ohio, and Jeffrey Fobes of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Jaynie O’Keefe, Jeramy Fobes, Jordan Fobes and Jade Fobes; great-grandchild, Orion Fobes; sister, Patricia Rood of Conneaut; and brother, John Hayes of Conneaut.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Fobes; son, Jay D. Fobes; and brother Thomas Hayes.
Funeral Service will be 12 p.m., Noon, on Thursday, Dec. 20th, at the First Baptist Church of Kingsville, with Pastor David Hines officiating. Burial will follow in LuLu Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday at the Church from 11 a.m. until Noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kingsville Public Library.
