CASCADE, Idaho — Larry Mitchell Coutts, age 60, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in Cascade where he had lived for the past nine years.
He was born May 18, 1953, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Noreen A. (Sippola) and James M. Coutts. He was baptized and confirmed in Bethany Lutheran Church, and was a 1971 graduate of Harbor High School.
He moved to Sparks, Nevada in 1979, where he met and married Ruth Truskol in 1982. They were later divorced. He became a licensed, journeyman plumber while in Nevada.
Surviving are his two beloved daughters, Sara R. Coutts and Rebecca A. (Jason) Murray, both of Sparks; his mother, Noreen (Robert) Fairburn and his father, Jim (Phyllis) Coutts, all of Ashtabula. Also left grieving are three brothers, Randy J. (Margaret) Coutts of Ashtabula, Ryan (Angie) Coutts of Rio Rancho, N.M. and Philip Coutts of Cleveland, Ohio.
Other survivors include step-siblings, Patricia Fairburn, Isabel Lee, Eric Fairburn, Shawn Fairburn and Lori Stewart. In addition, there are uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends in every area where he had resided who mourn his passing.
Heikkila Chapel in McCall, Idaho, has handled arrangements. Nathan Hess, coroner and funeral director, determined it was a weather-related accident, and assured family that Larry was a healthy, handsome man.
At Larry’s request, his daughters will receive his cremains and scatter them in his favorite Western mountains.
A celebration of Larry’s life with family and friends is planned for a future date in Ashtabula. [John 14:27]
