DOVER — Marian B. Adams, age 94, formerly of Conneaut, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, 2013, at New Dawn Health Care and Retirement Center in Dover, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 27, 1919, in Conneautville, Pa., the daughter of Ralph and Emma (Dauchey) Heard.
Marian was a former member of the former East Conneaut United Methodist Church and had attended Southside Lutheran Church in Old Town Valley. She worked on the election board and enjoyed playing Bunko and going on senior citizen bus trips.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Anderson of Millersburg, Ohio and Peggy (Emery) Brumit of New Philadelphia, Ohio; her son, Roger (Barb) Adams of Berlin, Ohio; grandchildren, Tammi Hogle of Millersburg, Ohio, Terri Hogle of St. Peters, Mo., Mark (Brenda) Brumit of Stonecreek, Ohio, Brenda (Ray) Tharp Jr. of Dover, Ohio and Jennifer (Paul) Anderson of Stonecreek, Ohio; and step-grandson, Brian (Alyssia) Maple of Tuscarawas, Ohio; her sisters, Florence Henderson and Thelma (Gene) Funk, both of Conneaut, Ohio; her sister-in-law, Sue Heard of Jefferson, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold W. Adams in 1981; their son, Thomas Adams; her sister, Helen Norton; her brother, Wilbur Heard; her brothers-in-law, Albert Norton, Howard Henderson, Kenneth Adams and Paul Lillie; and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Adams and Berice Lillie.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1st, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Dr. Roger Hogle, of South Ridge Baptist Church in Conneaut, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the Service at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1st.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas, Hospice of the Western Reserve, or to New Dawn activities fund at New Dawn Health Care and Retirement Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
