Bob will be remembered for his great warmth and compassion, his tenacity and strength in difficult times, and his unconditional love for friends and family.
Bob is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Marian Butcher; daughters, Lynda Babic of Geneva and Sheila Snyder of Ashtabula; sons, Claar (Charlene) Butcher of Windsor and Daniel (Rebecca) Butcher of Barrington, N.H.; grandchildren, Christopher Laidlaw, Bobby Butcher, L.J. and Logan Updyke, Benjamin Butcher and Kate Butcher; his brother, Charles “Chuck” (Linda) Neely of Chardon; sister, Ellie (Dan) O’Donnell of Jefferson; and loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, James L. Fryer, May 8, 2010; his parents; and his grandparents with whom he lived as a child.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3rd, at the DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio, with Kathleen Shaffer, Celebrant, officiating. Eagles Memorial Services will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Masonic Service at 6:45 p.m. Military Honors will be given by Geneva Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 6846.
Calling Hours will be observed from 5 p.m. until time of Service at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3rd, at DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula.
