HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Virgil "JR" Murphy Jr., age 57, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, in Harpersfield Township
Born Dec. 9, 1955, in Welch, W.Va., a son of Virgil and Beulah (Keenan) Murphy Sr. He married Diana L. Ray in Perry, Ohio.
A bus driver for Ashtabula City Schools, he attended Lakeside Baptist Church and loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Diana; children, AJ (Holly Slover) Murphy of Geneva and Judy (Tony) Aiello of Kent; grandchildren, Brandon, Mathew and Daniel Murphy, Kenneth Hahn, Bridget Torok and Alexionna and Abrianna Aiello; his parents of Perry; brothers, Charles of Orwell and Cliff (Debbie) of Geneva; brother-in-law, Chuck Vojacek; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Regina, Judy and Evelyn.
Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 16th, at Lakeside Baptist Church, 306 Fairport Nursery Road, Painesville Township, with the Rev. Arlie Spragur, of Lakeside Baptist Church, and the Rev. Carl "Cab" Wolford of Gilbert, W.Va., officiating. Internment will be at Perry Cemetery.
