ORWELL — Eric Carl Plickert, age 49, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the home he shared with his father, Carl.
Eric was born March 15, 1963, the son of Carl A. and Elisabeth Boudreau Plickert. After a 2-year enlistment in the United States Army, during which he was stationed in Germany, he returned to the area.
Eric worked in construction then held several positions in facilities maintenance and environmental services for Heather Hill Healthcare Center in Chardon, and Manor Care Healthcare Center in Willoughby, advancing to director of maintenance.
Eric enjoyed music, fishing, spending time with friends and had a special place in his heart for cats. Throughout his life, he treasured the companionship of his beloved feline friends.
Eric’s quick wit and keen sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. He was a member of the Orwell Presbyterian Church.
Eric leaves to remember him lovingly, his father, Carl; his sisters, JoAnne Clobus of Mercer, Pa., Naomi McMillan of Peoria, Ariz. and Kim Plickert of Orwell; a niece, Andrea McMillan; and nephews, William and Jon McCliment and Keegan Friend.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A Memorial Service officiated by the Rev. Sandy Seaton-Todd, will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, Feb. 23rd, at Orwell North Presbyterian Church, 135 N. Maple St., Orwell, Ohio 44076. A Family Greeting will take place one hour prior to Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Eric’s honor to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League (APL) or the Orwell Presbyterian Church, envelopes will be available at the church. PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME in Orwell is assisting the family with arrangements.
