MADISON — William “Bill” Bagshaw, age 81, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 29, 1931, in Cleveland, to Rose M. (Stafanic) and William E. Bagshaw. A 1949 graduate of Willoughby Union High School, Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a lifelong member of the American Legion. He married Nancy Roberts on Oct. 29, 1971 in Timberlake.
Bill was a carpenter with Local #95. He was a very gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. His family meant everything and he enjoyed tending his family farm.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy Bagshaw of Madison; daughters, Nancy (Jeff) Gouch of Chicago, Lynn (Brad) Nicholson of Rock Creek and Jennifer (Aaron) LaBoe of Perry; son, Troy (Maria) Bagshaw of Chicago; daughter-in-law, Karen Bagshaw of Geneva; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, James William Bagshaw; two grandchildren; and his parents.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, with a Celebration of Life at 5 p.m. Final resting place will be Madison Memorial Cemetery.
