NORTH KINGSVILLE — Carl A. Bevington Jr., age 71, of North Kingsville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Alliance, Ohio, the son of Carl A. and Mildred (McLaughlin) Bevington Sr., and had resided in the area for the past 25 years, after spending many years in Salem, Ohio. Carl received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Mount Union College and later received his Master’s Degree in education from Youngstown University.
He worked for many years as a high school math teacher for the Salem and Conneaut School Districts. In his later years, he enjoyed going with the Happy Travelers, meeting for lunch with the Upper Crust group, and also playing cards at the Ashtabula Senior Center.
He is survived by his sister, Catherine Frattaroli of North Kingsville; step-brother, Chris (Sharon) Stroup of Alliance, Ohio; nieces, Anne (Charles) Dobbins, Gena (Ernest) Richmann and Beth (Lawrence) Zanko; and step-niece and nephew, Janna (Kevin) Gowen and Ben Stroup.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Bevington and Milldred Bevington-Stroup.
At his request, there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Ashtabula Senior Center.
