ASHTABULA — Lucille Ann Hunt, age 76, of South Ridge Road East, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Rudolph and Anna (Kalfaus) Pankowski and had been an area resident most of her life, living in Tennessee for several years. A 1954 graduate of Ashtabula High School, she was very proud of being a majorette for the school.

She worked as a telephone operator for AT&T, a cafeteria worker at St. Joseph Elementary School, and as a secretary for her husband at Sabre Appraisals before she retired.

A member of Our Lady of Peace Parish (St. Joseph Church), she was very generous and gave to many charities. An avid reader of Stephen King novels, she also enjoyed baking and cooking Polish specialties. But most of all, she loved her family and precious grandchildren.

Her survivors include two children, Scott Hunt and Michelle Hunt, both of Hilliard, Ohio; two grandchildren, Hannah and Allen; and one sister, Violet L’Hommedieu of Ravenna, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard H. Hunt on Dec. 5, 2010; and her parents.

A Calling Hour will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., with a Service at 1 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 4th, at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Fr. Ernesto Rodriguez, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, will preside. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula.
