JEFFERSON — Robin L. Blon, age 56, of E. Walnut St., Jefferson, died Wednesday evening, March 26, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation following a five year battle with cancer.
She was born March 28, 1957, in Trenton, N.J., the daughter of the late Robert D. and Marian L. (Hendrickson) Nolan and had been a resident of Jefferson since 1986, coming from Cortland. She was married to Timothy W. Blon on Sept. 12, 1987 in Cortland.
Robin owned and operated the Blon Insurance Agency in Jefferson.
She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Robin was very involved with her children’s activities, supporting and being a member of Jefferson Area Girl’s Softball, Jefferson Area Little League, American Legion Baseball, Jefferson Area High School Music Boosters and the Jefferson Area High School Athletic Boosters. Robin loved all outdoor activities, including skiing, hunting and boating.
She is survived by her husband, Tim; a daughter, Kelly L. (Greg) Fuhrmann and a son, Kyle T. Blon, both of Jefferson; and a sister, Tammy (Andy) Lilko of Boardman.
Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 3rd, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 41 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. James Brehler officiating.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Jefferson Area Girls Softball, Jefferson Area Little League, Jefferson Area High School Music Boosters or Jefferson Area High School Athletic Boosters. Envelopes will be at the church on Thursday or available at the funeral home.
