ASHTABULA — Sarah Huddleson Ague, age 79, of Walnut Drive, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 10, 2013.
She was born August 28, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of William and Ruth (Manion) Huddleson and had been an Ashtabula resident for nearly 30 years. A 1951 graduate of Dormont High School, she attended Allegheny College for two years where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
A member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, she served as an elder and a member of the former Flora Snow Circle, now called The Trinity Women's Bible Study.
An avid reader and bridge player, Sarah had a gift for the crafts of knitting, crocheting and sewing. She made sweaters for her grandkids and many blankets. She belonged to several area book clubs and was recently awarded from the Ashtabula County Board of Elections for her many years of service as a poll worker.
But first and foremost in her life, were her beloved family and friends who will dearly miss the many special things about her.
Her survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, John B. Ague II, whom she married August 11, 1953; two children, Ann Ague Berger (husband Clyde Berger) of Frederick, Md. and John B. Ague III (wife Holly Heiser-Ague) of Marietta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Ali, Ian, Max, Findleigh, Sam, Izabel, and one more on the way; and several dear nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Wagner; and her parents.
Calling Hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 14th, at DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula and from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15th, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1342 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
A Service will follow at Noon, Wednesday, at the Church, with the Rev. Quincy Worthington, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery, Beaver, Pa. at a later date.
