SUWANEE, Ga. — Barbara Ann (Hupertz) Emmett, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Suwanee, Ga., after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born on August 14, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Green) Hupertz and had resided in Madison for 50 years and spent the last 16 years in Georgia.
Barb loved and lived life to the fullest, always surrounded by family, friends and people from afar. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and gambling at various casinos.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, William Emmett; sons, Jeff (Julie) Thompson of Georgia, Todd (Stephanie) Emmett of Geneva and William Emmett and Craig (Darlene) Emmett, both of Madison; sister, Ginny Shetler of Ashtabula; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Larry in 1953 and Ronald in 2010.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 15th, at Immaculate Conception Church, Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio.
