EATON — Norma Jean Mallory (nee Ross), age 81, of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the Greenbriar Nursing Home, Eaton, Ohio.
She was born August 7, 1932, in Parma, Mo., to the late Lloyd and Bessie (Silkwood) Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel E. Mallory in 1992; brother, Ted Ross; sister, Geneva Day; daughter-in-law, Peggy Colleen Mallory; two grandsons, A. Brian Mooneyham and Bill Essler.
She is survived by daughters, Dora (Wayne) Pinkstaff of Eaton, Ohio, Deborah (Todd) England of Wabash, Ind., Judith (Wayne) Games of Evansville, Ind. and Rebecca (Mike) Pendley of Bowling Green, Ky.; a son, Gary (the late Peggy) Mallory of Geneva, Ohio; sisters, Doris Buford, Alice Osborne and Eunice Groves; 20 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. Norma is also survived by a very dear and special friend, Dick Shank of Eaton, Ohio.
She was a member of the Lakengren Garden Club and the Memorial Baptist Church, Eaton, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, August 15th, at GIRTON, SCHMIDT & BOUCHER GARD FUNERAL HOME, 226 Main St., Eaton, Ohio 45320.
Funeral Service will follow at 3 p.m., Thursday, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Underwood officiating. A Graveside Service and Burial will be held 1 p.m., Friday, August 16th, at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11521 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, Ohio.
