ASHTABULA — Iva H. Carlucci, age 89, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at the Country Club Retirement Center III in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Iva was born July 7, 1924, in Ypsilanti, Mich., the daughter of Clarence and Bessie (Dingman) Northrup. She graduated from River Rouge High School and attended nursing school and became a Nurse. She worked for many years at the former Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut.
Iva was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and used to attend mass at St. Mary Church when she was able. She loved to dance. Iva also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially cooking for them on Christmas Eve.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dominic Mucci; and her second husband, John Carlucci.
Iva is survived by her daughter, Linda and Richard Dube of Kingsville; a son, Vincent and Nancy Mucci of Arkansas; step-son, John and Rosemary Carlucci of Gulf Stream, Fla.; son-in-law, Robert Lehtonen and his wife Joyce of Conneaut; a sister, Donna Mitchell of Flint, Mich.; brother-in-law, Arlo Mucci of Conneaut; brother and sister-in-law, Art and Jennie Carlucci of Conneaut; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
At Iva’s request, there will be no calling hours. The family will gather this spring to remember and celebrate the life of Iva H. Carlucci.
