ASHTABULA — Wesley John Williams, age 71, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.
Born on Oct. 23, 1942, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Helen H. (Sulin) and James Leo Williams, both deceased.
He was the beloved husband of 36 years to Sharon M. (Salrin), to whom he married on July 15, 1977; and devoted father of Melanie Marie of Ashtabula, Ohio, Carrie Lynn of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Donna Ann deceased in infancy. He was the brother to James L. Williams of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and uncle of James of Hudson, Ohio, and Christopher of Knoxville, Tenn. He also had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Wesley was know for his kind and generous nature and was always helping others. He was a skilled craftsman and worked forty-two years for the railroad as an electrical/diesel mechanic at the Collinwood Yard before retiring from CSX.
With his family, he enjoyed traveling, camping trips, amusement parks and exploring caves. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, repairing automobiles and collecting broken mechanical items to refurbish.
A Private Family Service and interment was held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in North Kingsville, Ohio, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas, Pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish, presiding.
