WEST SPRINGFIELD, Pa. — Pauline F. Denhart, age 83, of West Springfield, Pa., died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at UH-Conneaut Medical Center in Conneaut, Ohio.

Born June 15, 1930, in Grantsville, W.Va., Pauline was the daughter of Carl G. and Helen F. (Westfall) McCartney.

An Ashtabula County, Ohio, resident since 1952, Pauline had been employed at Kroger’s and at Webb Mfg. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Conneaut where she sang in the choir and served as a deaconess. She was also a member of Salem Rebekah’s. She enjoyed singing and sang in the Covered Bridge Chorus of Sweet Adelines and the double quartet, Songs R Us. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crafts. 

A devoted wife and wonderful mother, Pauline leaves behind her husband John Denhart of West Springfield, Pa., whom she married in 1972; three daughters, Teresa (Thomas) Facello, Ronda Volanski, and Debra Cox, all of Ashtabula, Ohio; two step-sons, Curt Denhart of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Eric (Mimi) Denhart of Key West, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Nicholina, Michaella, Troy, Bret, Evan, Robert, Nathan, Lillian, Morgan and Eric; two great-grandchildren, Paula and Heaven; three sisters, Shirley (Wendell) Sinnett of Torch, Ohio, and Illene Scarberry and Nancy (Charles) Chocky, both of Rosemont, W.Va.; and nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Norval, Carl Jr., and Harry McCartney.

Family Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 19th, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Ewig, of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Parkersburg, W. Va., at the convenience of the family.

No calling hours will be observed.
