CLEVELAND — James V. Fryan, age 75, a longtime Mentor resident and U.S. Army Veteran, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Cleveland.
Survivors include his sons, Ray (Peggy) Fryan, Rick (Kelly) Fryan, Dave (Sharon) Hathy and Jeff (Beth) Hathy; grandchildren, R.J., Brigitte, Nicholas, Dave Jr., Justin, Jeremy, Misty, Tim, Jesse, Jeff Jr., Jared, Jacob and Jonah. He is also survived by several loving great-grandchildren, many loving friends and his former wives, Carol Fryan and Jan (Bob) Fay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Nancy Fryan, Maxine Fryan (Focht); brother, Vincent Fryan Jr.; and his sister, Cathy Eads.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21st, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.) Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery, Mentor.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20th, at the BRUNNER SANDEN DEITRICK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
