GENEVA TOWNSHIP — Jo Ann G. Pittenger, age 71, a resident of Geneva Township, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at her home.
Born Sept. 18, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lucianno "Mike" and Annie (McGuire) Valenza. On Dec. 2, 1961, she married Robert E. Pittenger in Pittsburgh.
Jo Ann was the owner/operator of H & R Block, serving the Geneva, Jefferson and Madison areas, Plus being the BEST Wife and Mom.
She liked reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles and sitting on white sandy beaches.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Debbie Pittenger of Silverthorne, Calif., and Michael E. (Wendy E.) Pittenger of Painesville; five nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Mike, Mychaelane, Khristopher and Shaun; four great-nieces and nephews; sister, Pat (Bob) Park of Geneva; and brother, Ron (Kathy) Valenza of Abingdon, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Gathering will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva; This will be a casual attire - NO suits please.
