GENEVA — Gerald R. Edixon, age 91, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the UH Geneva Medical Center.
Born March 17, 1922, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of the late Abigail (Westcott) & Ralph Edixon. He was a 1940 graduate of Ashtabula High School. A Veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
Gerald worked as a bricklayer for local unions in Ashtabula and Lake County.
He was a member of the Geneva VFW Post #6846 and also a member of the Geneva Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory Edixon of Pittsburgh, Pa., Doug (Fran) Edixon of Mentor, Brian (Ginny) Edixon of Sheffield, Ohio, and Scott (Laura) Edixon of Madison; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Edixon; his parents; and sisters, Margie Jones and Colleen Hathaway.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, April 20th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio, with a Funeral Service following at 12 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Final resting place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
