CONNEAUT — Elva M. Fedor, age 88, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Country Club Retirement Center, Ashtabula, Ohio.

She was born April 13, 1925, in Allegheny County, Pa. and was the daughter of Robert N. and Grace F. (Catherwood) Norris. She graduated from Springdale High School and attended business school in Pittsburgh, Pa. 

Elva was a bookkeeper for Horton Pre-Cast Concrete, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she was active in the Women’s Fellowship and the Doers Group.  Elva was also a past member of the American Legion in Pennsylvania, and the quilting club. She volunteered with the Pink Ladies at Brown Memorial Hospital, and enjoyed square dancing, playing the organ, sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, traveling, camping, and being with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Edward E. Fedor whom she married in May of 1975; three daughters, Karen A. (Jerry) Benson of Monroe Township, Ohio, Fay M. (Alan) Alderman of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Barbara L. (B.J.) Higgins of Akron, Ohio; a step-son, Douglas E. Fedor of Conneaut, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Connie Fedor of North Kingsville, Ohio; her brother, J. Leroy Norris of Tarentum, Pa.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Fay Norris; and a brother, Kenneth Norris.

Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, June 22nd, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Pastor Joyce Shellhammer, of First Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of Service, Saturday, at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of First Congregational United Church of Christ.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
