STOW — Marjorie Ella Nagle, age 91, died peacefully surrounded by her beloved family.
The daughter of James H. and Ethel (Harmon) Edson, she was born on March 16, 1922, in Ashtabula, Ohio. A graduate of Ashtabula High School and The Ohio State University, Marjorie returned to Ashtabula to teach Home Economics in the Ashtabula City Schools.
She retired after serving the school district for twenty-five years. Marjorie had the privilege of encouraging young women to pursue their goals and achieve success.
Marjorie and Morris T. Nagle were married sixty years prior to his death on Sept. 25, 2008.
Marjorie was a member of NEA and OEA, as well as Ohio Retired Teachers Association.
After her official retirement from school, she applied her skill as a seamstress to help her daughter, Debra with costume design at the Carousel Dinner Theater in Ravenna. Later, she helped launch Stage Center, a family business in Akron, Ohio, where she worked as head bookkeeper for the last thirty years. She was a regular visitor and received VIP treatment at the Mountaineer Casino in West Virginia. An avid fan of all Cleveland sports teams, she was ever hopeful that they would improve in the seasons to come. A wonderful wife, mom, great grandma, she will be remembered for her outlook on life, her encouraging ways and ability to love without ceasing, and her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Debra (Kenneth Johnson) Nagle of Tallmadge and Kathleen (William Dunick) Nagle of Kent; her grandson, Jason (Lisa) Dunick; and great-grandsons, Maxwell and Harrison Dunick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Nagle; sister, Mildred Sharp; brother, Jack Edson; and her parents, Henry and Ethel Edson.
Private services for the family were held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
