SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — Mary B. Lewis, age 94, formerly of Ashtabula, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Saybrook Landing.
She was born May 27, 1919, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Rev. Angelo W. and Carrie Mae (Wentz) Bonacci.
She had been employed as a secretary at American Can Company in Geneva, New York and as a clerk typist for the Ashtabula County Courthouse in Jefferson and at General Tire in Ashtabula.
She was a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Deaconess. She was a volunteer at the Ashtabula County Medical Center for many years and also with Hospice of the Western Reserve and was a Hospice Walk-Around Clown know as “Lonesome Lewey”. She held offices with the Women’s Club of Ashtabula County and the Rebeccas.
Surviving her is a sister, Mildred Davidson of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three nieces; two great-nieces; and a great-great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Lewis; a son, Grant Kimberly Lewis; and a brother and three sisters.
Graveside Services were held Sept. 14th at Edgewood Cemetery.
