KINGSVILLE — Ronald F. Brundage Sr., age 79, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 13, 2013, at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsville, Ohio, following a one-month illness.
Born Oct. 2, 1933, in West Seneca, N.Y., he was the son of Lorren V. and Lorraine J. (Otis) Brundage.
Mr. Brundage was employed at Allied Resinous, retiring in 1998. After he retired, he worked at Orlando Bros. Golden Dawn bagging groceries.
He was a member of St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini Churches.
Mr. Brundage loved to build things, flower gardening, reading and bowling. He was the best story-teller and enjoyed talking to people and making them laugh. He also enjoyed going for Sunday rides in the country with his kids.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte (Meinke) Brundage, whom he married Nov. 29, 1952; three daughters, Debra (Daniel) Shepard of Westford, Pa., Valerie Brundage of Williamsfield, Ohio, and Mary Kathleen Keeler of Girard, Pa.; three sons, Ronald F. Brundage Jr. of Conneaut, Ohio, Dennis Brundage of North Kingsville, Ohio, and David Brundage of Conneaut, Ohio; two sisters, Virginia Bort of Conneaut and Ramona Miller of Monroe Township; two brothers, Kenneth Brundage of Conneaut and Edmund Brundage of Alcott, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Daniel Shepard Jr., Amanda Simmerman and Casey, Alan and Mathew Shepard; seven great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Brittany, Breanna, Alyssa, Brandon, Asher and Isla; as well as nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Paula Jean; two brothers, Leon and John Brundage; and a sister, Zora.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
