CONNEAUT — Mary E. Jenkins, age 95, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, June 11, 2013, at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 31, 1918, in Westernport, Md., the daughter of William H. and Bessie E. (Custer) Taylor.
Mary was employed for 37 years at Allied Resins in Conneaut, and was a former member of the Eagles, Moose and Rebekahs. She enjoyed buying lottery tickets, playing bingo and reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Dalrymple of Conneaut; two sons, Bob (Jan) Jenkins of Orange City, Fla. and Dean (Carol) Jenkins of Jefferson, Ohio; two sisters, Edith Kerns of Westernport, Md. and Ruth (Bob) Woods of Oakland, Md.; her brother, James Taylor of Lonaconing, Md.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Benny Jenkins; her companion of 19 years, Pete Gallagher; two brothers, David and Paul Taylor; a grandson, Robert Curtis; and a great-grandson, Danny Dalrymple.
A Funeral Service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, June 16th, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Tim Kraus officiating.
Calling Hours will be from 1 p.m. until time of Service, Sunday, at the Funeral Home.
