CHARDON — Betty L. Hamric, age 83, of Commerce Pl., Geneva, Ohio, died Sunday morning, March 2, 2014, at the Heather Hill LTAC Hospital in Chardon, Ohio, where she had been a patient the past month.
She was born June 27, 1930, in Willoughby, Ohio, and has been a Geneva resident all of her life. She was married to Fredrick “Fred” Hamric on Nov. 19, 1948, in Geneva.
Mrs. Hamric worked for many years at Taylor Studio and retired in 2004 from Giant Eagle, where she worked in the deli department.
Her enjoyments included word and picture puzzles, knitting and going out to eat.
Survivors include two children, Ronald E. (Sally) Hamric and Nancy L. Perkins, both of Madison; two grandchildren, Ronnie Hamric Jr. and Matthew (Julie) Perkins; two great-grandchildren, Mattie and Gage Perkins; and an aunt, Jane James of Mentor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred in 1990; and a sister, Laura Jean Theilan.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 5th, at the Geneva Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, INC., 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, with Barry Curtis, of Lighthouse Baptist Church, leading the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held TODAY, March 4th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
