For nearly thirty years Carol enriched the lives of many young people as a first and second grade teacher at Saybrook Elementary School. Carol loved to teach, and being a “kid at heart” helped her to be a better teacher.

A superb baker, she was reknown for her pies, cookies and pecan tarts. She was the family photographer at all the gatherings, taking the most beautiful pictures and creating the most beautiful memories. Everyone loved to be around Carol.

She was soft spoken, yet strong; and loved to travel with her friends to many interesting destinations. She and her fellow retired teachers enjoyed their monthly luncheons, catching up on each other’s lives. She and her sister Jean enjoyed their Friday lunches and their time together. They are the best of friends.

Her loyalty and devotion to her friends and family were unmatched. She would always be there for you without hesitation. She will be remembered for her strength and dignity, grace and faithfulness.
