ASHTABULA — Edith R. (Bisesto) Jordan, age 89, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Country Club Retirement Center from natural causes.
She was born August 6, 1923, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Tony and Utilia (DiMaio) Bisesto and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
Edie retired from Kent State University, Ashtabula Campus, where she had been employed for more than 20 years. She enjoyed being with family and friends, playing card games and especially bingo.
Edie is survived by her two sons, Denny (Terrilynne) Jordan of Ashtabula and Carney (Mindy) Jordan of Opp, Ala.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Layman of Ashtabula, Jacqueline Pierce of Long Beach, Calif., Jennifer Jordan of Florida and Keli Jordan of Alabama; and a great-grandson, Jarred “Ironman” Layman of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 15 brothers and sisters.
No calling hours will be observed.
A Service will be held 1:30 p.m., TODAY, Nov. 24th, at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Carpenter Road, Ashtabula. Deacon Rich Johnson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, will preside. Burial will follow.
