AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP — Darlene K. Andrus, age 73, of Austinburg and formerly of Saybrook Township, Ohio, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born May 25, 1941, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lynn and Gladys (Shann) Woodworth and has been a lifetime area resident. She married Howard I. Andrus on May 25, 1979.
Darlene and her husband enjoyed dancing and going to the VFW Post #943 and Jewels Dance Hall. She worked at the old Nichols Flea Market. She and her husband were happy working together selling and buying at flea markets and enjoyed attending auctions.
She was a member of the Saybrook United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the Austinburg Rehabilitation Center. She was an animal lover and loved people. Before her husband’s tragic accident they could be seen walking daily at the mall. They also loved vintage cars and eating at various restaurants.
Surviving her is a brother, Kenneth (Patricia) Woodworth of Ashtabula and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard in 2009; a brother, Robert Woodworth; and a sister, Bernice Cameron.
A Graveside Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, July 3rd, at Saybrook Cemetery on Route #45 in Saybrook Township with the Rev. Christine Bell officiating.
