GENEVA — John R. Peluso, age 79, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at Geneva Village Retirement Village.
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on Dec. 28, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert and Grace (Korb) Peluso.
A Veteran, John served in the U.S. Army and was a machine operator for Rockwell Brake Division.
He was a member of the Assumption Church, Geneva VFW Post #6846 and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He enjoyed billiards and loved to watch sports.
Survivors include his children, Gina (Ralph) Coast of Ellwood, Pa., Robert (Ruth Ann) Peluso of Akron and Mark Peluso of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Rich and Amber Peluso; two great-grandchildren, Gabe Peluso and Joyce Rich; half-brother, John Peluso of Cleveland; cousin, Judy Johnson of Sagamore Hills; and good friends, Lee (Diane) Amacher of Geneva.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 3rd, at Saybrook Township Cemetery, corner of Route 45 and Route 20, with the Rev. Fr. Melvin Rusnak officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Geneva VFW Post #6846.
There will be no calling hours per his request.
