CLEVELAND — Charles “Chuck” R. Herpy Sr., age 72, of Eagleville Road, Jefferson, Ohio, died early Wednesday morning, July 17, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1940, in Conneaut, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Maryalyce (Annis) Herpy and was a graduate of Ashtabula High School.

Chuck worked over 30 years as a supervisor for Reliance Electric before retiring in 1994.

He was a proud member of the Eagleville Bible Church; enjoyed woodworking; and attending his children and grandchildren’s activities through the years. He took great pride in caring for his yard. He was the family’s “Go to Man”. But above all, Grampa’s greatest love was that of his FAMILY, who meant everything to him!

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary L. Herpy of Eagleville; three children, Connie R. (Dennis) Carlisle of Ashtabula, Charles R. (Linny) Herpy Jr. of Pierpont and Darlene J. (Chuck) Dunham of Eagleville; siblings, Richard (Kathy) Herpy of Geneva and Maryjane (Tom) Carlton of Ashtabula and several other siblings; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Shandi), Brandon (Kristen), Aryn, Tina (Britt), Tracey (William), Tony (Traci-jo) and Charlie; and 10 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Keston, Kirsten, Bailey, Billy, Bodey, Alexa, Alesia, Kirkland and Luke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara L. Potter.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Pastor Bill McMinn officiating. Burial will take place in Eagleville Cemetery.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, July 19th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, INC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eagleville Bible Church, 1981 Route 45 North, Rock Creek, Ohio 44084, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
