LAKE PANASOFFKEE, Fla. — Milo Blaine Evans, age 73, of Austinburg, Ohio, passed away at Schands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
Milo was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on Dec. 16, 1940, the son of Phyllis Colucci-Evans and Blaine Evans. Milo graduated from St. John High School, Ashtabula, in 1959.A Veteran, he was a member of the United States Army, where he served for four years, including time served in Germany. He married his wife, Bettylou Evans, in 1981.
Milo retired from Alltel Communications Company as a plant manager where he was employed for forty-four years.
Milo was an avid reader. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family and many friends. He enjoyed wintering in Florida with his wife, Bettylou.
Milo was a member of the American Legion, The Masonic Lodge, and the American Homebrewers Association.
He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Milo is survived by his wife, Bettylou Evans; son, Christopher (Raina) Evans of Bloomington, Ill.; son, Shawn Evans of Geneva, Ohio; step-son, Mark (Theresa) Mihalick of Ashtabula; step-son, Dean (Sheila and three step-grandchildren) of Austinburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas and Erica Evans of Bloomington, Ill.; step-grandaughter, Holly Mihalick of Valdosta, Ga.; step-grandchildren, Kayli Mihalick of Willoughby, Ohio, Brandon and Joseph Mihalick of Geneva-on-the Lake, Ohio; sister, MaryLou (Tony) Degennaro of Ashtabula; brother, John (Chris) Evans of Ashtabula; brother, Paul Evans of Harrisburg, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
