EL PASO, Texas — Richard John Witt, age 95, of El Paso, Texas, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014.
Born July 4, 1918, in Geneva, he was the son of Caroline (Fanslau) and John Witt. He was a graduate of Geneva High School and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Richard retired in 1974 as an accountant for the Army Air Force Exchange Service.
He is survived by his son, Richard E. Witt, of Washington, D.C.; brother, Walter Witt of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Witt; and brother, Edwin Witt.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 18th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. A Graveside Service will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, June 19th, at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva with Pastor Jonathan Schroeder, of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Geneva, officiating.
