CLEVELAND — "Jerry" Gerardo Garcia, age 50, of Geneva, Ohio, since 1989, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at the University Hospital Case Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio.
Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, on Dec. 4, 1962, he was the son of the late Ismael and Miguelina (Molina) Garcia. Jerry was married to Jeanann F. Ritchie.
Jerry did nursery work and landscaping most of his life, and also worked as a auto mechanic and cut hair on the side.
His wife, Jeanann, of 23 years and his family were most important to him. He loved doing a beautiful job of landscaping at his own home. A true lover of his dogs “Sam, Bella and Sommer”. He enjoyed his Spanish music and playing the guitar. He loved helping people whenever they needed it.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanann; son, Gerardo (Rosa) Garcia of Maryland; stepson, Ben (Amy) Smith of Texas; six grandchildren; one brother, Hose of Connecticut; and eight sisters, Ana and Sonia, both of Pennsylvania, Milagro, Claribel, Cathy and Maria V. (Manuel) Garcia Flores, all of New Jersey, and Norma and Maria J., both of Connecticut.
Calling Hours will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Noon, on Saturday, August 3rd, at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva
Graveside Service will be directly after calling hours at Evergreen Cemetery, with Cora A. Walker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Walker Funeral Home.
