ROME — William Donald, age 93, of Rome, Ohio, died April 1, 2013, at Erie VA Hospital in Erie, Pa.
He was born March 22, 1920, in Millersburg, Ohio, the son of Lewis G. and Enola (Thomas) Donald. He married Audrey L. (Spellman) on June 1, 1963 in Unionville.
William served in the U.S. Army for 16 years during WWII and Korean Conflict. He worked in maintenance for Ricerca, Inc. in Concord. He and his brother had the Donald Brothers Painting Co. in California retiring in 1962, then moved to Ohio.
He was a member of the Ohio Interstate Patrol (CB Club). He was an avid reader and made his own telescope.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Ledoux and grandson, Edward Ledoux, both of Massachusetts; sister, Elnora Maxwell of California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; daughter, Morgan Montgomery Donald; his parents; brothers, Lewis Donald Jr. and Thomas Donald; and a sister, Marilyn Cormack.
Graveside Service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 10th, at Hartsgrove Cemetery N.
