JEFFERSON — Barbara L Tisch, age 80, of W. Erie St., Jefferson, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.
She was born Feb. 2, 1933, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Clarence and Audrey (McMillion) Jacobs and had been a lifetime area resident. She was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School and she married Eugene Tisch on August 8, 1951.
She and her husband owned Tisch Construction Company and Toy Shop. She was a member of Lenox Federated Church; she was a 4-H Leader; a member of the Lenox Historical Society and the Community Center. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and in her later years enjoyed reading. She also loved to travel.
Surviving her are her two children, Debra (Stanley) Wood of Wilmington, N.C. and Douglas (Ann) Tisch of Cleveland Heights; six grandchildren, Tisch, Ryan, Jason, Rachel, Stacey and Kelly; seven great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, McKenna, Kolton, Brady, Taryn, Carter and Julia; a sister, Darla (Dale) Vosburg of Universal City, Texas; and a brother, James (Joyce) Jacobs of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene in 2000; a son, Duane in 2003; and a sister, Janice Beaver.
Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 13th, at Ray’s Corners Cemetery, Route #46 , Lenox Township, with the Rev. Quincy Wheeler officiating. There will be a gathering following the Graveside Service at the Jefferson United Methodist Church, 125 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
