RICHMOND — Lester L. “Doc” Hussing, age 84, of Richmond, Ohio, died at his home on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, with his family by his side.
He was born on April 12, 1929, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of Ethel Marie (Close) and Charles Adam Hussing.
A Veteran, Doc served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. He worked for Conrail and was a laborer for the Construction Union.
Doc was a member of the Tyrone Methodist Church in West Virginia and the Aerie Eagles Club of Andover, Ohio. He enjoyed farming, gardening, horse pulling and plowing, and he loved his dog “Lady’.
Doc was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Madge Friend; and seven brothers, Clyde, Everret, Leroy, Floyd, Freddie, Carl and Lloyd.
Survivors include three sisters, Sylvia Dunn and Georgie Hammack, both of Morgantown, W.Va., and Hazel (Kermit) Galloway of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; a brother, Allen Hussing of Masontown, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours locally will be held TODAY, Saturday, Dec. 7th, from 4 until 6 p.m. at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
Calling Hours will also be held on Sunday, Dec. 8th, from 1 until 3 p.m. with a Service at 3 p.m. at FRED L. JENKINS FUNERAL HOME, 10 High St., Morgantown, W.Va. Burial will be in Pleasant Hills Cemetery in Morgantown, W.Va.
