MANSFIELD — Elizabeth M. Picard, age 78, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at MedCentral Health System.

Elizabeth was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Grant and Ethel Bax Eighmy.

She worked in support of her husband Dr. Clair F. Picard's oral surgery practice for over 40 years. They both were generous supporters of many local charities and members of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Survivors include brother-in-law, Roger White; niece, Melissa White; great-niece, Cady Alexandra; brother-in-law, Dr. Urban M. (Christine) Picard; nephew, Urban (Jackie) Picard Jr.; great-nephew, Urban M. Picard III; nephews, Clarence Picard, Robert Picard and Timothy Picard; sister-in-law, Bonnie Picard; niece, Sarilee (Andrew) Stuart; great-nephew, Thomas Stuart; great-niece, Elizabeth Stuart; nephew, Tim (Kimberley) Picard; and long-time friend and caregiver, Helen Romas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Clair Francis Picard; sister, Eileen White;  and brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas Picard.

Friends may call at HERLIHY-CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME, 173 Park Ave. West, Mansfield, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gregory Hite officiating.

Additional Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. A Prayer Service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, at the Funeral Home, with Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice or Sisters of St. Francis Retirement Fund (St. Peter's Catholic Church).
