GENEVA — John A. Carle, age 82, lifelong resident of Geneva, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at home.
He was born Dec. 23, 1930, in Kingsville, a son of Orin L. and Pearl E. (Jones) Carle. John was married to Janice C. Borcicky on Oct. 16, 1957, in Geneva. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a Process Operator for RMI in Ashtabula 32 Years. John liked golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, boating, gardening and painting character drawings.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Natalie (Darrell) Barnum of Jefferson, Renee (Carl) Schupska of Geneva and Tim (Carla) Carle and Naomi McCracken, both of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, William Cothrum III; one brother; and one sister.
Service will be 5 p.m., Friday, May 31st, followed by Geneva VFW Post #6846 Military Service, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with Fr. Melvin Rusnak, of Assumption Church in Geneva, officiating.
Calling Hour will be from 4 to 5 p.m., Friday, at the Funeral Home.
