ASHTABULA — Harold R. Wilt, age 73, of Ashtabula, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died at home on Saturday July 20, 2013.
Born July 13, 1940, in Parcoal, Webster County, W.Va., he was the son of William Roy and Pearl (Huber) Wilt. On Aug. 29, 1969, in Jefferson, he married the former Lenore Jean Zimmerman.
Mr. Wilt was retired from Kennemetal Solon plant, after 18 years service, previously he was employed at Rockwell Brake. Harold’s hobbies included the fixing, buying and selling of cars, going to car shows and watching the Cleveland Browns. He also very much enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Wilt of Ashtabula; children, Christina (John) Erb of Geneva and Joel (Sabrina Cole) Wilt of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Tyler, Erica and Nicholas Erb; sister, Mary Miller of Cowen, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, William; brothers, Don Wilt and Dorsey Wilt; and sisters, Dorothy Cool and Mae Bragg; and a niece, Stephanie Moore.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 23rd, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, with pastor Hal Morgan, of First Community Church of God, officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of Service, Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.
