Tom was an outdoorsman; he and his wife loved to walk the woodland, riverside trails and sit on the porch watching the wildlife at their home. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking and fishing. He enjoyed several trips to the boundary waters and out west with his friends.
He was an accomplished gardener from childhood, providing all the vegetables for the family and always sharing with friends. His spare time was spent golfing, reading and tinkering. He was a talented craftsman, creating many unique items for their home. Tom and Susan designed and built two family homes with the help of friends and family. He loved to cook, especially sauce from his homegrown tomatoes and various meats prepared on the grill and smoker. He was also a lifetime blood donor, donating 88 gallons of blood over the years.
Tom was the most loving, patient and caring man you will ever meet. He was a devoted husband, father and friend, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
