GENEVA — Ethel M. Walker, age 87, died Sunday evening, April 14, 2013, at her residence on Cromwell Drive in Geneva.
She was born Dec. 24, 1925, in Greenville, Pa., the daughter of Lester and Sara (Wheaton) Peach.
Ethel worked for the Ben Franklin Store in Jefferson as a clerk for 31 years. She also worked for Golden Dawn grocery store up till 1998. She loved crocheting, playing cards, bowling and camping.
She is survived by her four children, Robert J. Peach of Hartstown Pa., Judy A. (Ron) Springborn of Geneva, Peggy L. (Chris) Flack of Ashtabula and David A. (Lori) Walker of Neenah, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Howard E. Walker; two brothers, Paul and John Peach; and a sister, Irene Reeher.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, April 18th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Following the visitation on Thursday, a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the home of Peggy and Chris Flack, 3911 Liberty St., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. Burial will be at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery.
