ASHTABULA — A Celebration of Joyce Ann Trent-Pohto who departed her life this day of Monday, June 10, 2013, at the age of 56. Visitation will be held at the GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME located at 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, Ohio, on Friday, June 14th. The services will commence at 6 until 8 p.m. and Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15th, with Pastor Kenneth Roberts, of the Pentecostal Church of God, officiating. Burial to be at Edgewood Cemetery.
Joyce resided in Fort Myers, Fla., for much of her life but grew up in Ashtabula and went to Harbor High School. Joyce passed away suddenly while in Ashtabula, a few days after attending the funeral of her mother, Arlene Trent, who was just buried on June 6, 2013.
Joyce is married to William Pohto (they were to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 22nd) and has a daughter, Tracy Pohto, and son, William Pohto Jr. Joyce is also survived by grandchildren, Mark Pohto, Mariah Pohto, Brenton Pohto, Ariana Schendel, Aidan Schendel and Brianna Pohto; great-granddaughter, Madolyn Pohto; and siblings, Richard Trent who resides in Concord, Ohio, Mary Lou Trent of Ashtabula, Ohio, Ken Trent of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Donald Trent of Ashtabula.
The family requests a memorial donation to help ease the burden of funeral expenses in lieu of flowers, that have been provided by the surviving family members.
