GENEVA — Ralph Kazmaier, age 90, of Geneva, formerly of Cleveland, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at his home in Geneva.

He was born in Stuttgart, Germany, on August 18, 1922, the son of Pauline Kazmaier. Ralph was a PFC in the U.S. Army from Nov. 14, 1942 to Dec. 7, 1945, serving in the European Theater.

He was an Industrial Arts Teacher and Drivers Ed. teacher in Geneva. In Cleveland, he worked at Carling's Black Label Brewery, Republic Steel and as a lifeguard.

Ralph was a member of the YMCA and an avid reader, amateur boxer and wrestler. He enjoyed playing handball and eating ice cream.

Survivors include his children, Eric Kazmaier of Geneva and Birgit Hauge, Doris Rolf and Karl Kazmaier, all of Germany; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mae (Nieminen); and his mother, Pauline Kazmaier-Beutter-Haas.             

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with Roger Zale, Chaplain, and Lauri Divoky, Spiritual Care, both from Hospice of Western Reserve, officiating. Interment at  Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.

Calling Hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of Service, Monday, at the Funeral Home.
