Judith Ann McSkimming, age 73, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at ACMC Hospice Unit, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Gordon and Eilene (Moss) Miller, she was born on Nov. 2, 1940, in Conneaut, Ohio. In the summer of 1957, she married Thomas McSkimming and they celebrated fifty-six years of marriage.
Judy was a home health aide for many years and enjoyed taking care of her patients as well as their families.
Judy enjoyed going to the beach, wading in the water, and watching the sunset over the horizon. For a time, she had a home daycare and loved being “Gramma” to all of her little ones. She loved to smell the lilacs in early spring, reading and watching Nancy Grace. She went with her girls to yard sales looking for that great bargain. She and Tom enjoyed dancing and their “steak dinner dates”.
She was a caring, supportive and devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend. Judy was her children’s best friend; she was never judgmental, always understanding and loving. Her compassion knew no boundaries. She will be remembered as a strong, devoted, loving, loyal, and as the “back-bone” of the family.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas McSkimming of Ashtabula; children, Thomas (Judy) McSkimming, Lori Miller and Rob Price, all of Ashtabula, April Dabney of Youngstown, Lisa Price of Akron and Amy Price of Mercer, Pa.; many beloved grandchildren and precious great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Tim McSkimming and Ed Price; her brother, Gordon Miller Jr.; and her parents.
