WILLIAMSFIELD — Burtis Anthony Morse, I, age 61, died at his home on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
He was born Nov. 29, 1951, in Riverside, Calif., a son of Ruth Ann (Sprague) and Burtis Alfred Morse. Mr. Morse served in the United States Army from March 1973 until July 1979, having been in Germany and Korea. On Nov. 29, 1975, he married Beverly Ann Poling.
He was a shipping clerk for Johnsonite of Middlefield, Ohio for over seventeen years and retired in March of this year. Mr. Morse enjoyed reading and gardening and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Theresa Morse; and his guardian, Yogi.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Beverly A. Morse of Williamsfield, Ohio; a daughter, Gina E. Helsel of Ashtabula, Ohio; two sons, Burtis A. Morse, II of Andover, Ohio and Joshua A. (Heather) Morse of Andover, Ohio; four grandchildren, Samantha, Clarissa, Kloey, Blake and one on the way; with many other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Service will be held 7 p.m., Thursday, June 6th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be from 5 p.m. until time of Service, Thursday, at the Funeral Home.
