GENEVA — Mario Michael Knapp, age 27, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013.
He was born May 27, 1986, in Ashtabula, was raised the son of Harry Miller and Bonnie Knapp Miller, and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A 2004 graduate of Lakeside High School, he worked as a corrections officer (sergeant) with Lake Erie Correctional Institution. He served in the U.S. Army before receiving a medical discharge.
A passionate and goal oriented person, he took his career very seriously and loved his job. A loving husband and father, his three boys meant the world to him. He was also a wonderful son, grandson, brother and nephew.
In his spare time, he loved working on his car (his fourth child) and playing X-Box 360.
His survivors include his wife, Angelina (Griswold), whom he married April 29, 2006; three sons, Develin, Maddox and Caiden Knapp, all of Geneva; his parents, Harry and Bonnie Miller of Ashtabula; two brothers, Dennis “D.J.” Miller and Johnathon Miller, both of Ashtabula; three sisters, Amanda, Gabriella and Wanda Miller, all of Conneaut; grandparents, Dennis Knapp and Cecelia Knapp, both of Ashtabula, and Harry and Judy Miller of Pennsylvania; his great-grandmother, Elaine Valerio of Ashtabula; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Roberta Knapp and Marylou Miller; and his biological father, Gary Miller.
Calling Hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3rd, with a Service to follow at 4 p.m., at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4th, in Greenlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, North Kingsville, with Full Military Honors.
