PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP — Herbert G. Locy II, age 79, of Ninety Road, Plymouth Township, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Jefferson, Ohio, the son of Demos Braden and Florence H. (Archibald) Locy and had been a lifetime area resident. He was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959.

He was a member of Bricklayers Local #42 and taught Masonry for 17 years at the Joint Vocational School in Jefferson. He was a member of the Rock Creek Conservation Club and the National Wild Turkey Federation.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, golf, snow mobiling, and gardening. He loved all Ohio sports and music. Most of all he loved to teach his family the things he loved.

Surviving him are his wife, Carolyn (Peterson) Locy whom he married Dec. 1, 1958; two sons, Herbert (Cindy) Locy III of Ashtabula and Todd (Mary) Locy of Bolivar, Ohio; two daughters, Tamera Locy of Cleveland and Terri Locy of Parkersburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Julia, Michael, Andrew and Chelsea; a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle; and a brother, Braden Lee Locy of Jefferson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Locy.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
