CONNEAUT — Clara Jean Beisty, age 96, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Friday morning, March 29, 2013, at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Conneaut.
She was born Dec. 18, 1916, in Conneaut, the daughter of Leo and Clara (Fitzmaurice) Cunningham.
She had been employed at the former Astatic Corp. and at Norton Company for many years. She was a member of St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini Parish, and adored her beloved collies.
Survivors include her brother, Edward Cunningham of Conneaut; a nephew, Tim (Denise) Cunningham of Conneaut; and other nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Conneaut Fire Department Lt. Thomas F. Beisty; a brother, John Cunningham; and her step-mother, Dorothy Cunningham.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, April 4th, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 480 State St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Philip Miller presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
There will be no calling hours observed.
